Privacy notice

This notice is being finalised ahead of launch. It describes accurately what the website does today. Sections marked as still being confirmed will be completed before the site goes live.

Who this is about

ASD Built is a one-person business that designs and builds websites and applications. Where this notice says “I”, that means Sean, who runs it.

What this website collects

This site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds. It sets no cookies. Nothing you do here is shared with an advertising network.

Your browser stores one small preference on your own device: whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your device and is not seen by me.

If you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, the kind of project you have in mind, and your message. That information is used for one purpose: replying to you and discussing the work. It is not used for marketing, and it is not sold or shared with anyone for their own purposes.

To limit automated abuse, the server briefly records the network address a submission came from, so it can stop one source flooding the form. This is kept in memory only and is not linked to your enquiry.

Where enquiries go

When you send an enquiry it goes to this website's own server first, where it is checked and saved to a private file that only I can read. It is then passed to Formspree, the service that delivers it to my inbox. Formspree receives only what you typed: your name, email address, project type and message.

The private file is a backup, not a second copy of your details for any other purpose. It exists so that a problem at Formspree cannot lose your message before I have read it.

Formspree is an independent company and handles your enquiry under its own privacy policy, which is published at formspree.io. Nothing about you is sent to anyone else, and nothing is used for marketing.

Enquiries arrive at info@asdbuilt.com, read only by me.

Hosting and server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages keeps short-lived technical logs, for example the pages requested and the time. The hosting provider is still being chosen, and this notice will name it before launch.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Ask through the enquiry form and I will deal with it.

Still being confirmed

The following will be added before launch: the business contact address for privacy questions, how long enquiry correspondence is kept, where Formspree processes and stores submissions, and the named hosting provider.
